Mister Anderson
full name Slater Kayge Anderson date of birth 07 march 1993 & 27 hometown Miami, Florida / Cleveland, Ohio occupation Muscian labels Bad Boy Records, Interscope Records stage name / credits Kayge / Machine Gun Kelly

++ Second born but first son to Patrick and Valentina Anderson, Slater was named after his mom's favorite Saved By The Bell character though it was likely due more to her crush on Mario Lopez than anything else. Loves his name, hates AC Slater. Kelly Kapowski could still get it though.

++ His father, Patrick, is a third generation American of Greek and Italian descent. Patrick owns and runs Anderson's Auto which has been in the family since they first set foot on American soil. Patrick had homes of Slater taking over the company someday, but the oldest son had no intentions of following the family business. Slater knows his way around cars, but the passion to make a career out of it isn't there.

++ His mother, Valentina, is originally from Columbia who migrated to Miami, Florida with her parents when she was fourteen. She met Patrick in high school where he helped her with learning English. The two began dating their sophomore year of high school and married two months after graduation. Their first child, a daughter, was born when they were nineteen.

++ Slater's first introduction to rap music was Eminem's The Marshal Mathers LP album when he was seven years old, curtosey of his older cousin. For three months straight month's he recited the songs, much to his mother's chagrin. It was something he fell in love with almost immediately, and even started writing his own rap verses that he would practice in the mirror. His mother tried to steer him in different directions if he wanted to use his voice, but with no such luck. Once he started getting better at it as the years passed by, his mom began to embrace his talent rather than try to change the path he wanted to go down.

++ Hard work and making sure his music got out there as he got older earned him a recording contract with Bad Boy Records in 2011, when he was just eighteen years old. The only request his mother had was that he'd finish high school, and despite the fact that he'd prefer to drop out and focus solely on his music, he honored her request and graduated a few months later. Once he was free from school, he dove head first into everything and started getting everything rolling.

++ Things quickly started falling into place, one of his song's ended up being chosen as the them for Wrestlemania 28, which as a long time WWE fan was huge to him. Being asked to perform it put him on cloud nine, and since it was in Miami, his family got to see him combine two things he loved most in life. That was the moment his parents became full on supporters of his music. Shortly after, Slater moved to Cleveland, Ohio with a friend to start working on his debut album that would later be announced to release in October 2012, entitled Lace Up. While Miami would always be home to him, Cleveland quickly wormed its way into his heart as a secondary home.

++ In 2017 Slater's world hit one hell of a nasty pothole when his mother was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, cancer of the brain. He had been riding a high with the fact that he was going to be the opening act for the North American leg of Linkin Park's One More Light tour when his father broke the news over the phone about his mother. To make matters worse, a few months later the tour was canceled after Chester took his own life. Linkin Park had been a band that Slater looked up to throughout his life, and in a span of just a few months it felt like the world had turned on him. Factor in a feud with the very rapper that made him fall in love with the genre in 2018 and Slater was pretty much done with everything, but he knew he couldn't give up either.

++ In July 2019, following the release of his fourth album Hotel Diablo, Slater made the move to Memphis, Tennessee. He had toyed with the idea of returning home to Miami to help out with his mother, but his father decided it was best he didn't. Valentina's health was rapidly declining and Patrick really just wanted to spare their kids as much as he could. Once his Hotel Diablo tour ended, Slater took some time off to return to Miami anyway, getting to spend a few months with his mother before she passed away on December 26, 2019.

++ With his fifth album due to be released on September 25, 2020, Slater has more or less been in a constant state of go. He permanently resides in Memphis now, and he's just keeping himself busy to take his mind off the loss of his mother and just the world in general. He's got some of his best friends by his side and loves collaborating with them and has plans to keep doing great things and just hopes everyone will enjoy the ride alongside him.
